Modern Architecture at Busan Korea - World Business Center

Work on The Millennium Tower World Business Center (WBCB) in Busan, Korea is progressing towards a 2012 opening date. The 490m tall WBCB tower, commissioned through an international competition organized by the Busan International Architectural Culture Festival (BIACF) and sponsored by the Municipality of Busan City and the Solomon Group in 2008, will become one of the tallest buildings in Asia.

Asymptote’s design for the World Business Center can be read as both a singular tower and three distinct forms set against the city of Busan, with the sea and mountains beyond. Through its formal and sculptural qualities this unique architectural expression will become a powerful symbol of 21st century Busan and a beacon for its trajectory as a city on the global stage.

The Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi | World Architecture

"a perfect union and harmonious interplay between elegance and spectacle. The search here was inspired by what one could call the ‘art’ and poetics of motor racing, specifically Formula 1, coupled with the making of a place that celebrates Abu Dhabi as a cultural and technological tour de force."

Unique Architecture - Dos Palillos restaurant

Unique Architecture - Dos Palillos restaurant
The Bouroullec brothers were invited by Camper to design the Dos Palillos restaurant of the Casa Camper hotel in Berlin Mitte. For the design, they wanted to establish a space that enhances and gives full meaning of the culinary experience offered by chef Alber Raurich (former chef of Elbulli) and which celebrates his culinary art. The Bouroullec brothers felt it was important to set a dialogue between the 10 cooks and their 30 some-odd guests who are invited into the chef's kitchen. To emphasize this interaction and encourage eye contact between cook and diner, they worked to develop a space in which guests are able to have an experience that almost feels as if they were attending an artistic performance.
